'Kaiserwetter' in the Swiss mountains

No wind, a blue sky and a powerful sun: that is the current situation in the Swiss Mountains. Till the weekend this weather type will continue under the name of 'Kaiserwetter.' Perfect for al the wintersporters!

At this moment I am staying in Grindelwald and it's very warm: around 14 degrees in the valley. During the nights it's around freezing level and especially in the morning the ski conditions are good. But the sun is getting stronger and the snow is melting rapidly. With relatively a small amount of snow the snow conditions will be worse next week.

In the weekend it will snow and rain again. At this moment it's difficult to say from which hight it will snow. But it's gonna be very welcome.
