'Snowdump' for the north side of the Alps

It's gonna be an interesting week for the Swiss Alps and all ski area's. After a difficult month of high temperatures and rain in the valleys the temperatures will decline and there is a lot of snow to be expected!
Today the temperatures are still relatively high. In most valleys it's above freezing level. Higher in the mountains it's already snowing, especially in the west side of the mountains. During the night the temperatures will go down further and much more snow will fall. Tommorrow there will be new snow opportunities and most valleys will receive a fresh white portion of snow.
On wednesday, thursday and friday it seems be get sunnier again and the temperatures will climb a bit. In the weekend the situation is uncertain: there are different possibilities and we have to wait for more accurate information. At least most areas in the noth side will have much better snow conditions at the end of this week. For the south side there is also snow expected, but in less amounts.
The 'Fohn' is losing it's power, but it's still a dominant factor. The whole winter season of 2016 / 2017 is dominated by these warm 'Fohns.' Most area's don't have even the half amount of snow of what's normal. The coming snow of this week is therefore very welcome!
